Dan Higgins
Spring Grove NSW Australia

Dan Higgins grew up on a farm at Nowendoc NSW and was drawn to songwriting when he first attended the Pickin’ Pen songwriters round at Tamworth in 2014.
Dan later won the July song of the night with ‘Home for Me’ and performed the song live on radio 2TM as a result.
Following this opportunity Dan worked with Lawrie Minson and Steve Newton (ENREC Studios) to record the ‘Home For Me’ EP.
Music has always been in Dan’s family and his passion for country and folk music gave him the urge to start writing and perform original material.
Dan is a regular performer at Tamworth and other music festivals around the country.
In 2016 two of his songs, ‘Home For Me’ and ‘Stories Of Us’ made it through to the finals in the Tamworth Songwriters Association awards and later in 2017 Dan was a finalist in the Australian Songwriters Association awards.
In 2017 Dan graduated from JMC academy Melbourne from the songwriting course. Dan’s latest single ‘The Hand’ recorded at ENREC Studios featuring Pixie Jenkins and Kate Hollingsworth debuted at Number 40 on the Top 40 Country Tracks Charts and continues to gain airplay.
