South African born and adopted Australian Jack Viljoen is a singer and songwriter from Gladstone in Central Queensland. From an early age he developed a love for all types of music – spending a lot of time singing in choirs, in school productions as well as around many campfires.

​

He moved with his family to Gladstone in 2007 and came across the Gladstone Country Music Group where he quickly found a musical home and from there developed an audience. He won numerous talent quests and Country Music Festivals including Senior Male Vocal for the 2011 Queensland Champion of Champions. He is the founder and an organiser of the Boyne Valley Country Music Campout – an annual festival that celebrates music and the Australian way of life, and is booked to capacity each year.

In October 2017 he released his first album titled “The song you sing” featuring nine original songs, followed by an Afrikaans EP “Ek wil sing” in August 2018. He is currently working on his second album to be released early next year.

​

Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jack is quickly becoming a well-known artist in Central Queensland, entertaining audiences with music of a variety of genres and eras that is well received by listeners of all tastes and ages.
